About TerraTally

TerraTally is a geography quiz for the small gaps in your day. You recognise flags, find countries on the world map and answer short questions about capitals, neighbours and outlines. No sign-up, no paywall, no install.

At the top of the home page, Country of the Day is waiting; below it sit all the other game modes. One tap and you're already playing.

You get a prompt, tap your answer and know right away whether you were right. No explainer page first, no tutorial, no account. The first round teaches you the game by itself.

A round rarely takes more than a minute. That fits a train ride, a checkout queue or the two minutes until the water boils. And if you have more time, you simply start the next one.

With Country of the Day you get one country each day and six short stations about it: capital, neighbours, languages, location, map and a question you probably did not see coming. Afterwards you know that one country a little better than yesterday. Tomorrow another one is waiting.

If you prefer it fast, Flag Rush is your mode — every second counts. Flag Streak keeps going until you miss, and that is exactly what makes it so ruthless. In Silhouette you recognise countries by shape alone; in Map Tap you tap them straight on the world map. Plus Capital Match, Language Link, Color Code and a few more.

Play a few minutes every day and your streak grows with you. Miss a day? No drama — that is not what this is for.

Whether you want to learn flags on purpose, brush up your country knowledge or just play in between: start at the top with Country of the Day or pick your favourite mode under Play. New modes arrive on their own — nothing to install or update.

Hey, I'm Jerry.

I studied geography and have been interested in countries, maps, and everything that goes with them for years. Travel is naturally part of that too, both privately and around football.

At some point, the idea came up not just to play geography games, but to develop something myself. That's how TerraTally came about.
